How to Remove Duplicates in Excel
Removing Duplicates is two ways one is
- Deleting Duplicates
- Just Identifying Duplicates
Let us check how to delete Duplicates from the List.

Let's assume you have a data with some duplicates.
Now Go to 'Data' tab in Menu Bar as shown Below.
Under 'Data' you can find 'Remove Duplicates' Option as below.

Click on Remove Duplicates Option. You will get below dialog box. Here you can select for which column you have to delete duplicates.

After selecting Specific column click on Ok.
Excel will show you below dialog. Here you can see how many duplicate records got deleted and how many unique records exist.

The great disadvantage of this option is, you cannot see which duplicate lines got deleted.
If you want to just Identify duplicates without removing them, we need to follow different procedure.
